Kawaii Box January 2016 unboxing

I won a Kawaii Box!

In December just last year, I came across this post on Kao-Ani.com while browsing the website. This post contains a review of the Kawaii Box October 2015 and a giveaway. I had never participated in a giveaway before, but the Kawaii Box is a box I had been wanting for a while now so I decided to give it a shot. It was exciting until one morning I woke up and actually saw my name listed as the winner of the Kawaii Box giveaway!

What is a Kawaii Box?

A Kawaii Box is a cute subscription box that will be delivered to your home on a monthly basis. Subscriptions start at $17.30 per month and shipping & handling is free!

The Kawaii Box contains a number of kawaii-inspired items from Japan and Korea. Think of plushies, keychains, stationary, candy etc. Each Kawaii Box comes with 10-12 handpicked cute items that are bound to surprise you when you open the box.

Kawaii Box January 2016

Let’s take a look at the contents of the Kawaii Box January 2016!

Sweet Neko Purse

First up: Sweet Neko Purse. What a nice little purse in the shape of a cat’s face! Very useful for storing some coins in there when coing out for a walk and buying something yummy on the way.

Kracie Popin' Cookin' Oekaki Gummy Land DIY Kit

Next, we have Kracie Popin’ Cookin’ Oekaki Gummy Land DIY Kit. It’s for making delicious gummies… and you can color them in all kinds of bright colors! This is going to be a lot of fun.

Kawaii Eraser

A Cupcake Eraser! Pink and deliciously looking. I can already tell you though, this eraser will be used as decoration only. I’m not going to actually use it as an eraser… it would eventually be gone!

Kawaii Squishy Donut

The Donut Squishy Charm is definitely one of my favorite items from the box. It’s cute, soft and pink. Perfect!

Kawaii Blue Bear

I love this Soft Bear Plush and its pattern – it reminds me of a blue sky white fluffy clouds.

Kawaii Pen with Crown

It’s called a Dreams Come [True] Pen and I love it. Such a lovely detail on the cap – a crown with a little gem in it.

Korean Nail Deco Kawaii

This Korean Nail Deco Flake Set will come in very handy when decorating either my nails… or maybe something else!

Korean Secret Pen Set

What’s this? Korean Secret Pen Set allows you to write a secret message on a cute little piece of paper which you can put in the treasure box. Shine the light on it and you’ll be able to read the secret message!

Kawaii Mini Bag

Oh yeah, I’m definitely loving the Sweet Mini Bag! I’m going to find some cute not-too-heavy items to put into this one. It’ll be nice decoration on my kawaii shelf.

Kawaii Stickers

Then we have these stickers: Jewelry Deco Sticker and Tiny Bow Stickers. I love stickers, and these are amazing! I’ll have to think very carefully what I’ll be using this cute little stickers for. 🙂

Final Verdict:

I’ll be honest here, I can’t rate this box any lower than 5 out of 5. I mean, for the money you would pay, you’re getting a lot of items straight from Japan and Korea. The box is neatly packaged and all items are brand new. Plus, shipping is completely free worldwide! When you can afford to purchase yourself a subscription box, you’ll be sure you can look forward to unwrapping some really nice items in a few weeks.

As for the Kawaii Box January 2016 – my first Kawaii Box – I loved it. There are some really fun and useful items in here but best of all – a lot of pink! I was surprised at the amount of pink in this box and I loved it. My favorite items are definitely the squishy donut, dreams come true pen, secret pen set and stickers. Wait, did I mention too many items that are my favorite now? Well, what’s not to love!

You can subscribe to the Kawaii Box over at KawaiiBox.com. If you’re looking to buy items that were featured in one of the previous Kawaii Boxes, check out Kawaii Box’s webshop Blippo.com – you may be able to find the item you’re looking for!
